I just wanted to note that some of the more vocal ones are and have became more so as they have gained acceptance in Washington. And, having these differing positions, they are quick to criticize Paul as a fool. That of course is just a smoke screen. What their real beef with Paul is his stances on a number of "right libertarian" issues. <br /><br />As I said, though I am more on the Paul side, I like many of the beltway folks. I profit from their research and appreciate a number of there stands. But I also have a number of differences with them at times.Darylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188962844511245404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646794084908390926.post-49151233668816816452010-02-25T13:18:13.110-06:002010-02-25T13:18:13.110-06:00I understand what you are trying to say. Certainl...I understand what you are trying to say. Certainly, the attacks on Ron Paul by certain people within the Koch-funded organizations – Cato, Reason and others – have highlighted the division between the two camps. But the division isn't because, as you say, "Many are now pro-war, pro-partisanship, and (dare I say) pro-state. Corrupted by the plagues of Washington, they now despise anyone who hasn't been themselves corrupted. Therefore, they never miss an opportunity to trash Paul and others who still remain committed to anti-statist policies."<br /><br />It is a philosophic division. For the most part, they are left libertarians, or as they prefer to be called sometimes, "cosmopolitan libertarians." If not for strong disagreement on the border issue, I think these two camps could peacefully co-exist. And it would also help if some of the Auburn libertarians didn’t act so cult like and attack other libertarians who don’t agree with them 100% of the time. I think that is a holdover from the Rothbard influence.l4khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00501227354335352379noreply@blogger.com
